Job Title: Sales Representative
Department: Western Cape Region On-Consumption Sales Department
Based in: CBD
Reports to: On Con Sales Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The sales representative will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients and brand partners. They will therefore be the driving force behind ensuring that sales targets are met by providing current clients with exceptional service, keeping up with market trends and competition, and coming up with creative management strategies for both. Each salesperson will also identify potential clients, generate leads, and convert those leads.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieving growth and sales targets by successfully executing sales plan
- Provide support and assistance to sales team as needed.
- Ensure that all necessary resources are on hand to perform at the desired level; if not, inform management
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Conduct frequent wine service training with and for clients' staff members.
- Arrange structured trade visits with Winemakers and Brand Marketing representatives.
- Actively participate in special events
- Be conscious of emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- Track and monitor performance in accordance with forecasted annual, quarterly, and monthly sales budgets.
- Implement pricing schedules and rates.
- Provide feedback and input into sales policies and procedures.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 – 3 Years liquor industry experience
- Be in possession of a valid code 08 driver’s license.
- Extensive sales experience
- Display administrative, financial, and quality control skills.
- Experience in executing sales strategy that increases customer base, ensures strong presence, and fosters teamwork.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of wine and of the Vinimark Brands in the portfolio.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively with all stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, including speaking, writing, and listening.
- Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service.
