Job Title: Off Consumption Sales Representative
Department: Western Cape Sales Department
Based in: Southern Suburbs, Cape Town CBD and surrounds
Reports to: Off Consumption Sales Manager
The Off Consumption Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales within the off-trade market, including retail outlets, liquor stores, and other relevant sales channels. As the primary point of contact for our clients and brand partners, the representative will ensure that sales targets are achieved through maintaining strong relationships with current clients, identifying new business opportunities, and staying up to date with market trends and competition. The individual will work closely with brand marketing teams to execute promotional activities and ensure Vinimark's brands are effectively represented in the off-trade environment.
• Achieve growth and sales targets by effectively implementing the sales strategy within the off-trade sector.
• Provide support and assistance to the sales team when necessary.
• Ensure all resources required to meet sales objectives are available and inform management of any shortfalls.
• Build and foster strong relationships with key off-trade clients by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Conduct regular trade visits to monitor product placements, ensure stock availability, and promote Vinimark brands.
• Collaborate with retailers on in-store promotions, displays, and other marketing initiatives to enhance product visibility and sales.
• Be aware of and react to market shifts, emerging trends, and competitor activity in the off-trade environment.
• Track and monitor sales performance against monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
• Implement and manage pricing schedules and promotional rates.
• Provide input into sales policies, procedures, and strategies for continuous improvement.
• 2–3 years of experience in the liquor industry, with a focus on the off-trade market.
• Valid code 08 driver’s license.
• Strong sales background, with a proven ability to meet or exceed targets.
• Good administrative, financial, computer and quality control skills.
• Experience in developing and executing a sales strategy to expand customer base and increase market presence.
• In-depth knowledge of wine and Vinimark’ s product portfolio.
• Ability to communicate, present, and influence stakeholders effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
