Position: Marketing Manager
Department: Brand Portfolio
Location: Stellenbosch
Reports to: Brand Portfolio Director
The Marketing Manager will lead and oversee all marketing activities, including digital and social media, to align with Vinimark’s strategic objectives. This role will manage the marketing team, ensuring brand awareness for Vinimark and its partners, and deliver creative, impactful campaigns while fostering effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
This position requires a professional who demonstrates strong leadership, creativity, and innovation while maintaining a high standard of integrity and commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will also drive sustainability-focused marketing initiatives, embrace data-driven decision-making, and explore emerging marketing trends.
Key Responsibilities:
o Develop and implement marketing campaigns aligned with Vinimark's strategic business objectives.
o Drive communication and events strategies that enhance Vinimark’s brand positioning.
o Collaborate with the Creative Lead to ensure high-quality and consistent visual assets across platforms.
o Develop and promote sustainability-focused marketing campaigns that align with Vinimark’s commitment to responsible wine culture and environmental stewardship.
o Adapt marketing strategies to align with global trends, enhancing Vinimark’s positioning in both domestic and export markets.
o Oversee end-to-end digital marketing initiatives, ensuring campaigns meet strategic goals.
o Lead SEO, SEM, and performance marketing initiatives to drive traffic, generate leads, and support e-commerce strategies for Vinimark’s brand partners.
o Develop and execute social media strategies to engage audiences and drive brand awareness.
o Guide the creation of diverse content, including webinars, newsletters, and thought leadership pieces.
o Ensure alignment with the Creative Lead for consistency in brand messaging and visual presentation.
o Plan, coordinate, and execute trade shows, wine fairs, and industry events, ensuring alignment with Vinimark's brand objectives and strategic priorities.
o Manage end-to-end event logistics, including venue selection, branding, and the creation of tailored marketing materials and displays.
o Collaborate with sales and brand teams to maximise event impact through product showcases, customer engagement, and lead generation opportunities.
o Evaluate event success using feedback and performance metrics, applying insights to continuously enhance Vinimark’s presence at future events.
o Partner with internal teams and relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of marketing initiatives.
o Foster close collaboration with brand partners to co-create marketing strategies that enhance mutual growth and visibility.
o Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to financial goals.
o Utilise advanced analytics to measure marketing effectiveness, refine strategies, and optimise campaigns for maximum ROI.
o Analyse industry trends, customer feedback, and campaign performance to refine strategies and drive results.
o Mentor and develop the marketing team to ensure continuous improvement in creativity, execution, and alignment with strategic objectives.
o Encourage innovation and foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
o Collaborate with IT and sales teams to enhance Vinimark’s digital and e-commerce presence, ensuring a seamless customer journey.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing management role, preferably within the liquor or FMCG industry.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Marketing experience in a B2B environment.
• In-depth knowledge of digital marketing best practices and creative content development.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with sustainability marketing and integrating environmental stewardship into brand narratives.
• Experience with e-commerce strategies and enhancing customer journeys.
