Porseleinberg 2019

Score: 95 / 100

This harmonious red draws you into the glass with a gorgeous nose of garrigue, lilac, leather and spice, serving as a fragrant overtone for the rich weave of black plum, green olive, milled pepper, smoky iron and singed citrus peel flavors. Delivers a solid core of fine tannins deftly knit to a fresh profile, which expands on the creamy finish. Hard to not drink this now, but this should only show greater expression and shine brighter with some bottle aging. Syrah. Best from 2024 through 2034.

The Chocolate Block 2020

Score: 92 / 100

A stylish red that's fresh and focused, showing expressive aromas and flavours of blackberry, dried lavender, espresso and iron in a well-knit, medium- to full-bodied frame. The long, creamy finish is loaded with spice box and sweet smoke accents. Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier. Drink now through 2027.

Groot Constantia Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Score: 90 / 100

A well-cut white, with ripe and juicy apricot and white cherry fruit enlivened by hints of grated ginger and pink grapefruit zest. Offers zippy acidity, with an aromatic overtone of crushed pine and wet stone lingering on the finish. Drink now.

Rustenberg Stellenbosch Chardonnay 2021

Score: 91 / 100

Presents pretty notes of orchard blossoms, vanilla and graphite enmeshed with flavours of creamed apple, honey, persimmon and slivered almond. A well-cut frame of acidity drives the mineral-laced finish. Drink now through 2027.
