The fourth annual Prescient Merlot Report convened by Winemag.co.za is now out.

Three of our wines are amongst in the 10 best wines overall. They are:

Glenelly Glass Collection 2018
Nitida 2018
Shannon Vineyards Mount Bullet 2017

Furthermore, the Glenelly Glass Collection 2017 scored 91/100 and the Villiera Monro 2018 scored 90/100.

There were 52 entries from 45 producers. Christian Eedes, chairman of the tasting panel and Winemag.co.za editor says: “We are starting to see much better integrity of fruit to go with the variety’s characteristic smoothness of texture and the best examples are really luscious and velvety as only Merlot at its finest is able to be.”
